Seeking input from aquaculture & IMTA producers in the Atlantic coastal regions:
Dear Aquaculture Helix Members,
Our consortium has prepared a short survey which aims to describe the state of the art practices in aquaculture in all Atlantic coastal regions, as well as the current Integrated Multi-Trophic Aquaculture (IMTA) systems.
We would like to invite the Aquaculture Helix Community to participate, as the collected information will be crucial for the ASTRAL project in understanding the current aquaculture production, and it will enable us to identify potential new Value Chains.
The survey takes 5 minutes to fill out and closes on June 4th, 2021. The follow-up of this survey will be made available in this very same space afterwards.
The questionnaire is available in multiple languages:
English https://fr.surveymonkey.com/r/ASTRAL-Q-EN
Portuguese https://fr.surveymonkey.com/r/ASTRAL-Q-PT
French https://fr.surveymonkey.com/r/ASTRAL-Q-FR
Spanish https://fr.surveymonkey.com/r/ASTRAL-Q-ES
We look forward to hearing from you!

We asked stakeholders at our international ASTRAL IMTA and Society workshops to co-create a set of Social Licence Guidelines to help IMTA producers gain and maintain social licence for their operations. Now we're giving you all the chance to review and make suggestions for these. Please send comments to laura.ferguson@sams.ac.uk

Detecting microplastics throughout the IMTA process is difficult, thus, we developed an innovative solution that we believe can help the whole aquaculture domain and beyond.
Water quality is affected by a multitude of natural and anthropogenic factors, such as, climate change, land use change, population growth, urbanisation, industrialisation, agriculture and wastewater discharge. Thus, we have developed an a low cost IoT kit for water survey and monitoring.
