US West African Coastal Research and Resilience Consortium (CRRC), 3rd Annual Workshop

From August 9th to 12th, 2023, the US West African Coastal Research and Resilience Consortium (CRRC) held its 3rd Annual Workshop at the University of Cape Coast (UCC) in Ghana.

The workshop, which was hosted at the Ridge Royal Hotel, explored the theme of "Harnessing the Blue Economy: Imperatives and Opportunities for Coastal Resilience in West."

The workshop lasted four days, with the first two days dedicated to the arrival of participants from the United States of America and West African regions. Participants had the opportunity to tour the University of Cape Coast (UCC) and also visit the Elina castles.

On the third and fourth days, there were presentations and technical sessions. The workshop had a hybrid format with 40 attendees, including participants and presenters.

The workshop was an overall incredibly positive experience and the highlight was the presentation of the #ASTRAL project (IMTA) along with other informative presentations.
