AAIC23 will be structured into 4-afternoon sessions from Monday, April 10 to Thursday, April 13 from 13:30 to 17:30 (BRT GMT-3).

  • Session 1. Cooperation in aquaculture in the Atlantic area and beyond

  • Session 2. Innovation in aquaculture to achieve SDGs

  • Session 3. Capacity building & Ocean Literacy in aquaculture

  • Session 4. Aqua-Match: Aquaculture Career Networking for Early Career Professionals

ASTRAL Workshop 1: ‘Marine Integrated Multi-Trophic Aquaculture (IMTA) Cultivation Opportunities – Open Water and Land-Based Systems’.

ASTRAL Workshop 2: ‘Community input: recommendations for monitoring the effects of climate change and emerging pollutants in the aquaculture sector’

Parallel activities such as the opening of the event, keynote speaker sessions, and the closing ceremony will be carried out together with Aquaciência. AAIC23 will be held in English. If needed, simultaneous translation will be provided in the common sessions.

The Atlantic Aquaculture International Conference (AAIC23) is an event that will bring together PhD students, early career scientists and regional and world experts to exchange experiences, present new technologies, and discuss current and relevant topics in aquaculture.
 AAIC23 will be a presential event jointly organised with the Brazilian Congress of Aquaculture and Aquatic Biology (X Aquaciência) from April 10 to 14, 2023 at the Convention Center – CentroSul- in Florianopolis, Brazil.
